ROSTER & PLAYER AGE Each team will be limited to a 23 Man Final Roster. Players must be born on or between January 1, 2002 – December 31, 2006, between twenty (20) to sixteen (16), and not be or be turning twenty one (21) years of age in 2022. ACCOMMODATIONS The 2022 WJLC Official Hotel Partner is Delta Hotels by Marriott Winnipeg. The Delta is only 400 meters from Canada Life Centre and transportation to-and-from the arena will not be necessary. Rooms will be reserved in blocks for teams to book individually. There will be additional blocks for families to book as well. A separate email will be sent exclusively with Accommodation information and how to proceed with booking/reservations – in addition to other hotels/motels/dorms if necessary.
TICKETING All players and staff will have tournament passes to watch each and every game of the 2020 WJLC. Friends and Family packages (Full, Team, etc..) will be available through the Bell MTS Place box office. All ticketing is run through the venue and subject to Ticketmaster, Facility, and other Fees in addition to standard Canadian federal and provincial Tax.
GAME BROADCASTS All games will be produced and broadcast live on TSN, Canada’s national sports broadcaster similar to ESPN in the US, and will be made available to viewers worldwide on additional platforms.
ATHLETIC TRAINERS As was the case in 2019, Athletic Trainers can be provided for teams who are not bringing or who are unable to bring their own Athletic Trainer. Teams need to communicate, date to be established, that they need to be provided a local Athletic Trainer.
OFFICIALS Championship officials are starting to be confirmed and finalized. If there are officials from your country who wish to officiate the 2022 WJLC please contact me, which some of you have already done, and we can figure out the best arrangement for them on an official-to-official basis.
